NICOLLE OSORIO

ABOUT ME
Welcome to my portfolio!
I'm Nicolle, a proud UCF alumna with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations. For me, journalism isn't just a profession—it's a passion. Currently, I'm a News Producer at Telemundo Orlando, leading regional newscast production across Tampa, Fort Myers, and Orlando. Whether behind the scenes or on the field, I'm dedicated to shooting stories, chasing leads, conducting interviews, and editing news that resonates with our communities.
Before Telemundo, I sharpened my skills as a Content Creator at ABC's Channel 9 in Orlando, contributing to on-air breaking news coverage. Additionally, my internship at CBS's WKMG News 6 Orlando provided firsthand experience in reporting during critical events like Hurricane Ian and Nicole.
During my time as President of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists at UCF (NAHJ), I led the production of a Spanish-language newscast, amplifying the voices of Hispanic communities in Central Florida. Through this initiative, I mentored students, fostering diversity in leadership.
Coming from my country Colombia in 2019 without knowing a single word of English presented its challenges, but my passion for journalism empowered me to overcome barriers and serve our communities with the information they deserve. My immigrant journey has reinforced my belief that everyone has a story worth telling. I'm endlessly fascinated by people, cultures, and travel, finding joy in exploring new perspectives.
In my career, I aim to amplify diverse voices and share their stories with the world. Thank you for exploring my portfolio.

"I've always been convinced that my true profession is that of journalist."
